About the event
Brittany Nikolai is a children’s book author and storyteller from Kenosha, Wisconsin. She studied journalism at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and has been writing children's stories since she was a child herself. Her debut book, The Adventures of Augie, is inspired by her real-life superhero nephew Augie and shines a light on kids with Type 1 diabetes.
Rooted in themes of bravery, belonging, and imagination, Brittany’s work celebrates everyday heroes and encourages children to see the magic in themselves. She has several more books in the works and is on a mission to make storytelling a full-time way of life. Whether writing from her cozy hometown or connecting with readers at story time events, Brittany believes every child deserves to feel seen—and every story deserves to be told.
