It's a Mystery! Writing Workshop

Do you enjoy a classic Whodunit story? Learn how to write your own! We'll investigate the secret ingredients of a successful mystery including detectives, clues, suspense, suspects, and red herrings. You'll leave with all of the essential pieces of a captivating thriller! This workshop is open to all ages but suggested for writers 7-13 years old. Laura Misco holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. Her short fiction has appeared in such publications as the Southwest Review and Midwestern Gothic. She has taught creative writing -- fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry -- for over 25 years. She is also a certified instructor of digital storytelling facilitation.
